My love affair with flowers began in 2000, during my freshman year of college in Boston, at a tiny jewel-box flower shop called The Secret Garden. Early mornings spent wandering the flower market, gathering armfuls of stems, learning the names and peculiarities of each bloom. I was enchanted by this world, by the fleeting beauty of flowers and the art of arranging with what the seasons offered.

Flowers became a thread I would follow for years to come, eventually leading me to Los Angeles, where I founded Moon Canyon Design in 2010. What began as a small studio grew into a world of its own, taking me across the globe to teach, collaborate, and create flowers for celebrations of all kinds. In 2020, I published Gathering: Setting the Natural Table, a book born from those years of making beauty and bringing people together.

These days, I find myself tending that same thread from a different place. Living among the gardens and wild landscapes of Northern California, my relationship with flowers has become more deeply entwined with the land, its rhythms, and the hands that grow what we gather. There is a quieter intimacy to the work now, a desire to follow the seasons more closely and allow their particular beauty to lead.

My work with flowers today is guided by the seasons and a deep respect for the land and the people who grow what we bring into our homes and celebrations.

I work with locally grown and seasonal flowers whenever possible, sourcing thoughtfully from farmers and growers whose care and knowledge make this work possible. I am drawn to the particular character of each season, allowing the materials themselves to guide the shape, movement, and feeling of an arrangement.

I take on a select number of weddings, celebrations, and floral commissions each year, with bookings now open for the 2027 season.
